I created it after trying to buy and register a kei car myself and realizing how hard it was to find clear, reliable information locally. Most of what I found came from scattered Facebook posts, old forum threads, reddit posts and bits of advice passed around in the community.
The goal of the site is to bring that information together in one place, with practical guides, local resources, and community insights to help people understand how to buy, import, register, and maintain kei cars in Hawai‘i. It’s meant for both current owners and anyone curious about these tiny but capable vehicles and the growing kei car scene on the islands.
